Welcome to Warsaw
Welcome to Poland! Connect with Warsaw's steadfast spirit — a city rebuilt from the ashes of World War II. Upon arrival, take your one group transfer to the hotel. After checking in this afternoon, relax and unwind or take a stroll through the city. This evening, join your fellow travelers and Travel Director for a warm Welcome Dinner at your hotel as you get to know your companions and share in the excitement of the journey ahead.
Discover Historic Warsaw
Today, explore the Old Town with a Local Specialist, visit the Royal Castle, and take in the city's remarkable blend of history and resilience. Don't miss the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising Monument and St. Anne's Church, both rich in cultural significance. In your free time, you may consider an Optional Experience to Wilanów Palace or simply wander the charming cobblestone streets lined with cafés and boutiques.
Journey to Cultural Wrocław
Leave Warsaw behind this morning as you travel west to Wrocław, a vibrant city celebrated for its colorful architecture, charming squares, and rich cultural heritage. Often referred to as the Venice of Poland for its beautiful bridges and waterways, Wrocław has a story that spans over a thousand years. This evening is yours at leisure — take some time to relax and get some rest before tomorrow's discoveries.
Explore Wrocław
This morning, join your Local Specialist on a guided tour of the city. Discover its complex history and see some of its most important sites, including Wrocław Cathedral, the Main Market Square, Old Town Hall and Salt Square. Dive Into Culture and visit the Baroque ceremonial hall of Aula Leopoldina at Wrocław University. Visit the oldest confectionery in Wrocław on a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® experience where tradition is cherished. Later this afternoon, consider joining an Optional Experience to Książ Castle and UNESCO-listed Świdnica Church of Peace.
Venture to Auschwitz and Zakopane
Your journey this morning takes you to the former concentration camps of Auschwitz and Birkenau (subject to availability), a poignant reminder of the horrors perpetrated during the Holocaust. Continue to the foot of the Carpathians, which stretch across Central Europe. Later, arrive in Zakopane, nestled at the foot of the Tatra Mountains, known for its distinctive wooden architecture, vibrant highlander traditions and fresh mountain air. This evening is yours to enjoy at leisure — perhaps take a gentle stroll along Krupówki Street, sample regional smoked cheeses, or simply relax and take in the serene mountain setting.
Goral Life in the Tatra Mountains
Spend the day your way in Zakopane. Take a relaxed stroll along Krupówki Street or browse Highlander markets for hand-crafted goods and smoked cheese. You could opt to ride the cable car up Kasprowy Wierch with a Local Specialist for views across the Polish and Slovakian Tatras, or learn about the region's distinctive wooden architecture on an optional tour. This evening, join your fellow travelers for dinner at a local restaurant, where you'll enjoy regional flavors.
Continue to Kraków
Travel to Kraków where you will enjoy views of the Royal Castle and Cathedral on Wawel Hill during your tour with a Local Specialist. Your walking tour through the Old Town includes a visit to the Cloth Hall and St. Mary's Church. This evening is at your leisure — perhaps sample some lively Polish entertainment with dinner.
Kraków Your Way
Today is your day! Consider joining an Optional Experience to the Wieliczka Salt Mine, renowned as the Underground Salt Cathedral of Poland and home to an entire chapel carved from rock salt, as well as dozens of sculptures. This evening, join your Travel Director and fellow travelers for a farewell dinner at your hotel — a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the highlights of your journey and share memories of your time together.
